Genuine Connection, Renewed Clarity Meaningful Growth
Hello, I am Coreen. I am a registered psychological counsellor SGfB offering services in Nyon and online for individuals in Switzerland. Beginning counselling is a courageous step & finding the right support makes a difference.
My approach is integrative and adapted to each individual. It is rooted in person-centred, humanistic psychology and I use therapeutic models including Person-Centred Therapy, Mindfulness-based practices, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA). These approaches are resource-oriented and grounded in each person’s innate capacity for growth.
I offer trauma-informed, affirming, and professional psychological counselling. My style has been described as deeply attentive, present, and compassionate. I focus on your unique identity, strengths, and interests as essential elements in healing and wellbeing.
“People only seriously consider change when they feel accepted for who they truly are.”
A bit about me…
I am Canadian and have lived and worked in Switzerland for over fifteen years. Living across cultures has shaped how I understand transition, identity, and belonging.
From a very young age, I have been very drawn to people and the experiences that shape their lives. My first career in education nurtured this interest. After many years of teaching, especially working with young people, I saw how meaningful support could profoundly influence confidence, self-esteem, wellbeing, and personal growth.
It became clear to me that the most impactful part of my work was my relational and emotional support. I chose to train as a counsellor so that this meaningful work would become the heart of my professional focus.
My style and approach are enriched by both my professional and personal life experience. I bring a sensitive and grounded understanding to complex, real-life situations. I am open-minded, attuned, empathetic, and deeply engaged in the therapeutic process.
My psychotherapy and counselling training included over 400 hours of supervised work with individuals. I have worked with clients across life stages and as a school counsellor, supporting young people and adults through a wide range of challenges.
Many people come to counselling feeling weighed down, confused, or disconnected — and want to feel calmer, more at peace, and able to enjoy life more fully. I believe that finding the right support makes this possible. My counselling services are rooted in nurturing new beginnings and helping you reconnect with yourself.
